About

I write, I consult, and I build. The work spans business strategy, AI systems, and the philosophy of how we actually spend our days, but the intellectual move is always the same: showing the math and mechanics underneath things we run on autopilot. This site documents the journey in real time, and this page is where I tell the longer story.

What I do now

The three roles aren’t separate jobs; they’re three surfaces of the same work. The writing builds frameworks. The consulting tests them inside live businesses. The software products turn the parts that should be self-service into tools other operators can use. Each one feeds the next.

Most days look heaviest on writing. The cornerstone book, The Six Levers of Revenue, is in research and outline. Field research for it begins on a two-week container ship trip later this year. Consulting runs in parallel at a measured cadence: an active operations diagnostic with a regional nonprofit, board work where I’m leading the launch of a new revenue stream. Software is the quiet thread in the background; the first products will surface here as they ship.

How I got here

I started in banking, looking at organizations from the financial-statement side. The MBA gave me the language of executives and P&L owners. From there the pull went toward building things: analytics at AAA, business intelligence at Uber, process automation at a healthcare platform, applied R&D at a satellite imagery company. Each step moved me closer to the inside of how operating organizations actually work.

The pattern that kept showing up: the organizations that struggled most weren’t missing ideas or talent. They were missing the connection between their operations and their revenue. The gap between “we know what we should do” and “we have the systems to actually do it” was where most of the value leaked out.

SwitchGear Studios is the venture studio I built to close that gap. The decision to go full-time happened in March 2026, after several quarters of runway math and a clear-eyed look at what comes next: kids on the horizon, a window of time when the work itself is the priority, and a calculation that the right move was to commit before that window closed.

What I’m working on now

The current state of writing, consulting, and building lives at in the workshop. It’s updated whenever the focus shifts, with a clear date stamp so the reader can trust it.

Frameworks and forthcoming books

The published frameworks running through everything: the Six Levers of Revenue, Revenue-First Sequencing, the Cross-Industry Solution Discovery Methodology, the pain point safari. Each one will eventually become its own book in a five-book sequence on revenue architecture. The full lineup with status and field-research notes lives at books.

How to reach me

I read and reply to every email. The first message doesn't have to be polished. Tell me about your company, what you're working on, and where you're stuck. The conversations that go somewhere usually start that way.
